Scary Lover is the second single from new artist, Nisee Amore, and a stark contrast from her debut single, “Love Is”. Scary Lover introduces listeners to the more vulnerable and sultry side of Nisee’s voice. The song embodies blended elements of a Jazz Bossa Nova, and Classic R&B/Soul. The combination of the rhythms and instruments used to make up the percussive character combined with the lyrics and vocal approach create an innovative marriage of musical tastes. The song features Reggie B, an artist and the producer of the song, as he gives a soulful male perspective and answer to Nisee Amore’s more vulnerable and sweet vocal approach. The song employs a rich harmonic recipe from the unconventional thick harmonies in the background vocals to the phat, silky chords used to create the harmonic foundation. Truly a captivating work of art blazing a trail for Nisee Amore that demonstrates what it means to be a genre fluid artist.
